This is the ultimate motorcycle tour of New Zealand , covering all the main aspects of the country's many types of nature as well as riding some of the nicest motorcycle roads you can imagine. You will be smiling all the way.
The tour is a 21 day Hotel and Lodge tour with good quality accommodation in carefully selected locations. Your luggage is transported by your guide in the support vehicle. Riding days are in general between 200-350 km allowing time for visits and personal discoveries.
There are also 2 rest days for other activities or extra riding as an option, of course.
Due to the recent disruptions of Covid our tour program is limited. Currently this tour is being offered as a self-guided tour – we book everything for you and give a GPS navigation to follow.
We will be offering a Fully Guided Southern Explorer Tour starting 4th March 2023 – this is a 8 day tour of the South Island.
We will resume the fully guided option of the Coastal Classic in November / December 2023

Airfares to/from New Zealand, airport taxes, personal expenses, sightseeing activities, lunches, motorcycle petrol, personal insurance, any other items not mentioned in the tour price.

You will spend an equal amount of time on both islands. This enables you to have a chance to experience the unique sub tropical north, endless beaches and volcanoes, as well as the glacial lakes, mountains and coastal rain forest of the South Island.
You will experience the Coromandel Peninsula’s twisty roads and pristine beaches and witnessing the Maori way of life around Rotorua and the East Cape. Continuing southward from the East Cape we visit the Art Deco town of Napier and the North Island's famous wine district before reaching Wellington.
In the South Island the tour goes to Kaikoura, then Hanmer Springs, across the Southern Alps and down the rugged and beautiful West Coast, past the Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers following the greenstone trail through Haast Pass to Wanaka. Through Central Otago we make our way to Queenstown (Milford Sounds option available) onto Lake Tekapo and finishing our trip in Christchurch with a farewell banquet dinner.
