This Trophy Tour will have our two most experienced guides:

  • Gordon Lidgard will be the motorcycle tour guide. Gordon has been a motorcycle tour guide for 32 years, he has a wealth of knowledge that he’s always willing to share. He participated in the BMW GS Trophy Event in Feb 2020. He is a fully Qualified BMW Motorrad Off Road and On Road Instructor and a Qualified BMW International Tourguide.
  • * Ellis Emmett will be the support guide. He is an experienced motorcycle tour guide, wonderful host and TV Personality for Go Wild productions.

Tour Summary

Day 1 (7 March)

Christchurch to Akaroa (familiarity ride a wonderful introduction to some great riding), Lunch in the French settlement of Akaroa. The afternoon takes us to a very special place in Cheviot for the first night with incredible hosts and tasting delicious local foods and wines (Dinner is included).

Day 2 (8 March)

Cheviot to Punakaiki – Todays ride traverses the mighty Southern Alps- spectacular riding all day!

Day 3 (9 March)

Punakaiki – via West Coast, Fox Glacier – Haast. On todays ride you will see some wonders of the world – incredible geological formations and the worlds fastest moving Glacier.

Day 4 (10 March)

Haast – Queenstown - So much to do and see in Queenstown, detour to Arrowtown

Day 5 (11 March)

Queenstown – Milford Sound (Take the Milford Sound Cruise) -Te Anau

Day 6 (12 Match)

Te Anau– Glenorchy – Cromwell. Can do extra side trip with your guide to where some of the most dramatic scenes from the movie “Lord of the Rings” was filmed “Lothlorien & Isengard” could be a long day and one of the best riding days you will ever do!

Day 7 (13 March)

Cromwell – Lake Tekapo - If you want some gravel road adventure – you are in luck! Sealed option also available with second guide)

Day 8 (14 March)

Tekapo – Mt Somers (Highway 72 Scenic Route) – Christchurch Finish approx. 17:00hrs
